Action Family Law Assistance

Provides free and low-cost legal aid and/or in court representation to low-income and working poor families who cannot afford private legal assistance.

Action Housing Advocacy
For help with evictions, court summons, rent or mortgage assistance, landlord- tenant disputes, public housing or application issues, free legal representation, free legal help with public benefit issues, managing budgets or debt.

Massachusetts Legal Services
Provides free legal assistance on bankruptcies, divorce and other issues to low income consumers.

Neighborhood Legal Services
Located at 37 Friend St., Lynn
Provides services for denial of benefits, such as social security, welfare, family law cases involving domestic violence, elderly issues involving nursing home placement, specifically Medicaid/long term care.

Victim/Witness Assistance Program
Located at 197 Main St., Gloucester
The Essex County District Attorney will update victims and witnesses of the appeals proceedings for cases in which they have been involved, for anyone who has been a victim of crime or has witnessed crime.
